Emily’s was founded in 2005 by its owner, Gumer Barona, who has experience in the hardwood industry for more than 30 years! His son, Ricardo Barona, has worked alongside him as an assistant, gaining all the knowledge of what a Perfect job means in the wood flooring industry. In the ever-growing world of flooring solutions, Epoxy is what started to captivate the duo with the endless combinations of Flakes and the eye-catching color of Metallics, they set out to learn more about this industry. After being certified by Epoxy experts, Emily’s did not want to keep their new epoxy services as a side business, but as a main trade equal to their Wood services. The results were the rebranding of Emily’s Hardwood Floors to Imperial Wood & Epoxy Flooring in 2024. The name Imperial was chosen because our services are not limited to just Houston Texas, but to All of Texas and out of state as well!
